Lindsay Lohan had an interesting visit at her apartment - Her Dad Michael Lohan dropped by along with some of THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT. WTF??? 

And BTW, whhhhhhhhhhy & how was this man allowed to use Lindsay yet again for his own self promotion?

According to TMZ sources, Michael went along with deputies of the L.A county Sheriff's Office to Lindsay's place to do a "welfare check" of his other daughter, 16 year-old Ali. He got the key (from the manager) and went into the apartment with the authorities. They then established that Ali was "fine" but got abuse hurled at them by Lindsay.

Michael has since spoken to TMZ confirming he will be going legal, seeking a conservatorship - ala Britney/Jamie Spears - and/or an intervention of some kind. What a dad!

Lindsay on the other hand, used her Twitter to alert the world of what exactly happened. She posted:

"i have no choice but to make this public, due to my sister's safety, as well as my own, "my ex-dad" just WALKED INTO MY APT like the devil's"
