Andie says she's off men! Smart woman?

Face of L’Oréal’s anti-ageing products, Andie MacDowell says she feels sexier, now being single, than ever and it's what's in her head that's sexier.

After having 3 failed marriages, (to fellow model Paul Qualley, childhood sweetheart Rhett Hartzog and a local used-car salesman), she says her singledom and self-help books play a helping hand in her new-found happiness with being alone.

She also ignores any pressure her friends, mostly married, put on her that she simply has to be with someone. Speaking to the U.K Daily Mail, the actress & model says:
‘I think it’s their discomfort with you being single. Now, though, I like being single. I took a sabbatical [from men]. I took time to discover who I really am. I think you make so many sacrifices in a relationship to be who they want you to be that you lose track of who you are. It was during yoga that I started thinking about the things about myself that I really enjoy. It’s OK to be alone.’

Adding that she still adores men, she is also enjoying not jumping into any relationship fire and just making male friends saying:
‘These new relationships are not about falling in love – look at it as making a friend who happens to be male.’
Is Andie's way of thinking a touch defeatist or actually the smartest move a woman with her love history should make?

Okayt, this is a lil' random but for a woman who is being paid to advertise "anti-ageing" products, doesn't she look rather old? Just saying NOT judging!
